The Test Shoot
Photos from our test shoot
Our test shoot was held the day before we broke up for half term, so that we will be prepared for starting production in a weeks time. We are using one location - the Seward Studio which comes equipped with a range of lighting, so a large amount of our time was spent arranging the various set ups. Unfortunatly, despite our requests, the chairs had not been put away, so they feature in our photos, but they will not be present in the actual shoot. We experimented with a range of spotlights, using a HD camera to check whether the strength of the lighting paled out the band. Overall, we now feel much more prepared for entering the production stage of our coursework, as we have defaults now set in the lighting box. Other things we became aware of was the need for stronger make-up under studio lights, and the need to wear clothes that don't overheat too quickly. Seeing as we will probably use leather jackets in our shoot, it will be important to remember to bring lots of bottled water with us to the studio.
